Scope of Works
The Australia Post Melbourne Parcel Facility HV and LV Infrastructure Upgrade Project involved the construction of new HV infrastructure owned and operated by Australia Post and coordinating the removal of the existing supply authority HV infrastructure. The project involved the design, supply, installation, programming, testing and commissioning of HV & LV Electrical services and associated systems.
- HV Switchboard, Metering Pillar and Supply Authority Metering.
- HV Transformer Substations with inbuilt HV RMUs & LV Switchgear.
- Protection Grading Study and Protection Relay coordination for complete 22kV HV System and LV system downstream.
- 22 KV HV Ring Main cabling distribution to transformer substations throughout the site.
- Inground conduit, bore pipe and pit installation for the 22kV HV cabling network.
- Civil works for the HV network, including excavation and backfilling, supports for equipment, substation slabs, HVMSB plinth and trench including associated works.
- Testing and Commissioning of the 22kV HV network and associated equipment.
- Earthing system study and earth step touch potential report.
- HV and LV Earthing systems.
- Generator Control System to enable the 3 existing generators to open transition to generator power supply in the event of a power failure of the Powercor supply.
- Integrated Testing and Commissioning of the 22 KV HV and LV networks, Generator Control System and SCADA Monitoring System including tests for all modes of operation.
- SCADA system and associated control wiring.
- Coordination with the Electricity Distributor (Powercor)
- Coordination with the facility to allow it operate on generator power during the cutover.
