Privacy Policy
In the course of our everyday business Maxim collects and records personal information. Maxim recognises that an individual’s privacy is very important and that they have a right to control their information. Unless we are given explicit consent to act otherwise, the following policy will govern how Maxim will handle an individual’s personal information and safeguard their privacy.
Personal information is ‘information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable:
- Whether the information or opinion is true or not; and
- Whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not’
This could include information such as, names, addresses, email addresses, phone or mobile numbers.
Maxim is committed to protecting personal information and giving an individual the choice as to who can access their information and how the information is used.
Where the personal information is no longer required for the purpose it was collected Maxim will take all reasonable steps to securely destroy or permanently remove the information from all our systems.

We do not collect personal information through our website other than information provided voluntarily by the individual through the Contact area.
Collection of Records
Maxim collects personal information because an individual provides it to us, because we need it to provide a service that has been requested by the individual or through a third party, because the individual has provided it to us as part of improving our services or because the individual works for us.
In some circumstances we may be provided with personal information from third parties. In such cases, where we believe the third party has not informed the individual of the transfer of such information, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure the individual is made aware of the personal information provided to us by the third party.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Maxim may disclose your personal information to third parties as part of providing the individual with a service or where required or permitted by law. Otherwise we will seek the individual’s consent before disclosure.
Security of Personal Information
Maxim will take all reasonable and practical steps to ensure personal information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse, loss or unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
In the event of a personal information security breach immediate steps will be taken in accordance with the data breach response process. A summary chart of the process is attached.
Access to your Personal Information
Maxim will provide access to individuals wishing to review their personal information in order to update details or to discuss a privacy matter. Maxim will take reasonable and practical steps to make appropriate corrections to personal information so that it is accurate, up-to-date, complete, relevant and not misleading.
If an individual wishes to access their personal information they can make out a request in writing to the HR/OHS Manager who will respond in a reasonable time period to such a request.
Exceptions to the provision of access:
Maxim will not provide access if it reasonably believes access would –
- pose a serious threat to the life, health or safety of the individual or the public;
- have an unreasonably impact on the privacy of others;
- prejudice negotiations between the individual and Maxim Infrastructure;
- disclose information relating to legal proceedings that would not be discoverable;
- prejudice investigations into suspected unlawful conduct or serious misconduct within Maxim Infrastructure;
- be unlawful;
- reveal information to do with a commercially sensitive decision making process;
- prejudice enforcement related activities; or
- the request is frivolous or vexatious;
